Jane Austen withdrawal?

Dear Friends,

Indeed, these weeks without new Jane have been trying at times. In the interim, Davies' new interpretation of A Room with a View and Kim Cattrall and Daniel Radcliffe in My Boy Jack have been entertaining and engaging, no? This Sunday at 9:00 p.m., Cranford with Dame Judi Dench begins and shall keep us ensconced in 19th century literature for a few weeks. Click here to read Misha Berson's review in The Seattle Times, in case you missed it. I also recommend that you click here to participate in the highly amusing "Six Degrees of Austen Adaptation Separation" contest.

Before you remind me that no one but Jane will suffice, it is my pleasure to let you know about the Jane Austen Teas we held at Seattle's DAR hall last month--and that we'll do it again in a few months! We enjoyed tea and scones, of course, as well as a Regency quartet and vocalist, a very Jane fashion show, and wonderful conversation with other Janeites. (Sadly, technical difficulties prevent my posting a picture just now, but I promise to upload them as soon as I can!)

So, tune in for Cranford in May, and put our Sense and Sensibility repeat on your calendar--Sunday, June 15, beginning at 8:00 p.m., we'll air the entire program, and we'll have the full scoop on the next tea (or two!).

It has been such a pleasure interacting with you all on our blog. We will pop in here occasionally in future (we still need to identify winners of our little drawing), but for the most part we'll talk programming on our main blog. We would love to chat with you there as well!

Best,
