About Us: Everett DuPen, Sculptor

Hello again from KCTS 9. We've been a little quiet on the blog as we work toward the launch of our new web site, as well as streamlining our schedule and processes to improve your viewing experience. To that end, we're going to use this blog to talk about some upcoming shows, starting with Tuesday night's episode of About Us: Everett DuPen, Sculptor. DuPen was a Northwest artist who was quietly celebrated and highly respected, and who trained and influenced future generations of Northwest artists. The program airs at 10:00 p.m. Tuesday. Here are some online extras provided by the filmmaker, B.J. Bullert.

This month, the sisko gallery is also showing DuPen's work, plus that of his former students, including Georgia Gerber (creator of Rachel, Seattle's famous bronze pig), Tony Angell, Philip Levine, Tom Jay, Norm Taylor and others. The Circle of Everett DuPen show opens 4/17 and runs through 5/25.

We hope you're enjoying the About Us series. As always, we welcome your feedback, so feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts, or send an e-mail any time.
